Applications for the X-Factor 2009 are closing soon, so if you think you have the X-Factor and haven’t applied yet, now is the time to do so.
Applications can be made on the ITV X-Factor Website or you can request an application form by sending a stamped address envelope to:
The X Factor, PO Box 110, London, W1A 1WU or by calling the contestant hotline on 0901 88 11 222.
Telephone lines will close on Friday the 20th of February 2009.
The closing date for application forms is the 6th of March 2009.

hi ive just got back from australia recently and found out that you have to have an appliction form to audition, is there any way i can still go to audtions in belfast without !!!!!!!!!!! i was gutted when i saw this i can sing !!!!!!! you guys would be missing out and so would the rest of the world !!!!!!!!

I had been waiting to recieve a letter from you to tell me when the audion takes place but i still havent recieved any thing. i applied in the first week that you could apply, and they sent me an e-mail, but i haven’t been sent a letter, which is unfair.

the london audtions are on the 5th and 6th of may
same as that!!! I sent in my application straight after the show ended 2008, I did get an email to say that I would get a date later on in March, but still nothing

X factor auditions are being held on the 6th of May at the o2 arena london. i am going as i applied last year and they sent me a letter giving me dates and times and how to get there. i really cant wait to go it will be so good!! who else is going?? :biggrin:

i went to manchester auditions and did not get through i then todt recieved a phone call from them today asking me to go back and audtion again !!!! how cool is that

my letter came through, auditioning tues at the 02, says you can book parking but there’s nothing on the 02 website, anyone any wizer?
my son has a second call back for london but the paperwork says a date in april but we were told it is tomorrow. can you help us please if anyone knows the date of the call backs for london

Our band got as far as the exec producer auditions in Cardiff and we’re still waiting to hear news! I reckon they’ll wait until after the London call backs before letting us know! So frustrating!!

ah thats good to know i was beginning to worry, last year it took more like 4-6 weeks than the expected 2 so im expecting a longer wait. so annoying though i just want to find out. let me know on here if you do find out , thanks kate x
Hi ppl, well done all of you, can anyone tell me what happens after your very first audition, i heard that you are given a gold form and then have to attend a 2nd audition in either the 02 arena or the emirates stadium. Then what happens next, i have been told that there is a third stage audition before meeting the judges, is this true. Thanks my son is 16 and would like to apply.
Don’t apply it’s a f*cking fix!! They’ll chew u up for their TV entertainment and spit you out! Only freaks get through, or people who are shortlisted through agents. So if you haven’t had training or any experience in music at some sort of National College or University or Guilds in London, don’t expect to get anywhere on the show!! that’s exactly what it is, a show. They’re only interested in making money and good television. They couldn’t care less about you, or me, or anyone. They feed you lies and the crew members all feed you different information. One said I would win, another said not to worry I’m excactly what they’re looking for.. when I auditioned the girl producer/crew member said “unfortunately you’re not what we’re looking for this year, but try again next year” and she didn’t even look at me when I was singing, they might aswell have been f*cking blind folded the dickheads. To top it off, one producer told me I will get a second chance to audition, a second opinion because i got a note saying POD. But I found out she was mistaken and just trying to make me feel better. They all make me sick and If I had gone straight to Simon, Cheryl, Loui and Dannii, I would have been as big as Leona and Alexandra. They’re poxy show has missed out on making loads of money and marketting an incredible Artist. Watch this space for when i DO make it. I know it will be soon.

me and my group priceless audition in april at birmingham auditions got to the executive producers and are sitll waiting on a reply, its begining to really annoy my group, does any1 have any idea when they get back to you??

hey would anyone know if I could join the competition even though I’m not exactly a British? I hold an official British passport as the where I live had been once governed by the British gov. I’m now studying here at a boarding school and really want to join the comp. next year!!!
