Joe won the show with 61.3% of the public votes while Olly had 38.7%.
Joe also received the most public votes in weeks seven, eight, nine and in the first part of the final.

After singinging Don’t Stop Believin’ and The Climb on the X-Factor final, Joe McElderry has claimed the X-Factor winners crown for 2009.
Joe beat Olly Murs and will now release The Climb as his first single which is also expected to be this years Christmas No.1
