Laura White, age 21 – The girls mentored by Cheryl Cole.
Laura is from Manchester and began singing at age 15 in local jazz bars.
Laura has previously sung on front of 15,000 people after winning a radio competition aged 17.
Laura is currently studying Creative Writing and lives at home with her parents.
She decided to enter the X-Factor after getting good feedback on her music, written and performed by herself, on her MySpace site.

She should never have been in the bottom two never mind being sent home. She is a brilliant perfomer and hope that someone signs her to a good record label as soon as possible.
I cant believe Laura White was in the bottom 2 she was by FAR the best person and vocalist in the competition. Her and Austin were my favourites, Louis Walsh should be kicked off the judging panel because he just sees other contestants as threats to his acts. He doesn’t even judge on talent…with him it’s all about his own acts and where you come from which is TOTALLY unfair. I hope Laura goes far and releases an album!

I seriously can’t believe that Laura has gone. She was my favourite on the show and after louis has kicked off austin and now her, I honestly have no reason to watch the show. I really hope she goes far, and i will buy your album, single w/e! I absolutely HATE louis, and frankly simon has made the biggest mistake ever and i think he knows it, guessing that’s why he wasnt there on xtra factor. Stupid voters.

Ruth had alreddy been in the bottom 2 and got saved the other time, i think although her voice is powerful and amazing she is not getting enough votes! when laura clearly was every week. Whats happening to the x factor!!?!!

I loved Laura since I first saw her in her audition. Diana was really good but she’s lost it not, She should of had to sing.
Heres what happened:
Alexandra had a sore throat when she did candy man, she still sang.
But Diana has a sore throat, oh no, Miss.Favourite can’t sing now can she? It might get her VOTED OFF like she SHOULD be.
I don;t like Daniel, Didn’t like Austin, Gir; Band, or Bad Lashes. Desire should of gone through. And all plz stop tlkin lyk dis u chavs m8.
lana, there’s a BIG difference between a sore throat and laryngitis. you can sing through a sore throat cause thats about discomfort, laryngitis is about potentially doing permanent damage to your vocal chords and voice. i just wanted to say that cause i think diana loves performing and if it was medically possible for her to sing then she would have done.
i hope laura reads these sites and sees just how unjust the huge majority of people think the decision was on saturday night. along with diana, alex and austin…laura was head and shoulders above the rest of the performers. for rachel and daniel to still be in a competition that she’s out of is a travesty and makes a mockery of the show. i think saturdays events and in particular louis and simon’s decision is a downward turning point in the popularity of a fantastic entertainment show.
the x factor is about finding star quality, that something special like leona lewis has. You will never convince me that ruth, daniel, jls and in particular rachel have star quality.
laura you will be sadly missed cause you are what this show should be all about. raw talent getting a chance to shine brightly, and you did.
