2004 (Series One)
Series one of the UK based TV talent show The X-Factor started on the 4th of September and ended on the 11th of December 2004. It was first broadcast on ITV1. Steve Brookstein won the show and went on to have some chart success however the runners up G4 gained three platinum albums before they split up in mid 2007.
Although Brookstein mentored by Simon Cowell won the series however Cowell later admitted that G4 who were mentored by rival judge Louis Walsh were the real winners of the show.
