2007
Series four of The UK based X-Factor was broadcast on ITV1, it started on the 18th of August 2007 and ended on the 15th December 2007.
This series was won by Leon Jackson.
For the first time in series four, the age limit was reduced from 16 to 14 for contestants and a new category was introduced.
While Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne returned to judge the series, Louis Walshe was initially replaced by Brian Friedman, but was brought back in quickly with Brian Friedman now becoming the shows choreographer.
This year, the show was split into 4 sections.
14–24 males, 14–24 females, 25-and-overs and groups.
