Next weekends (Saturday November 8th 2008) X-Factor is to be themed Mariah Carey week.
Mariah Carey is due to sing her new single ‘I Stay In Love’ from her eleventh studio album E=MC² live on the November 8th show.
An X-Factor source has reportedly told The Sun (Tabloid Newspaper)
Simon loves Mariah, he’s always comparing acts to her. And finally all the compliments have paid off. It’s amazing to have such a big name singing on a British talent show.
The 8 remaining acts to perform Mariah Carey songs are:

Absolutely rubbish idea! Poor, poor singers!
Mariah Carey is one of the most BORING singers I have ever heard…. why do this to them and the viewers? Why… why… why?!?!?!?!?
Mariah Carey was awful on x factor, as for it being Mariah carey week, WHERE!!!!!!!! Endless love was covered by her not her original song,nor were Against all odds and Without You.
Rediculous to call it HER week, in future the themes should be either decades like 50s 60s 70s etc. and/or songwriters weeks like Lennon/Mccartney,Bacharach/David,Goffin/King etc up to present songwriters.
Didn’t agree with Diana getting a bye either, she seemed in full voice on bonfire night for being ill all week with Laryngitis.
Time for a major shake up on x factor, how many more years are we going to hear Mack the knife, Summertime, Without you etc. just to name 3 songs wheeled out year after year.
