The X-Factor should not have promoted Cheryl’s lousy performance – anyone who criticises contestants for dressing trashy and does the same thing isn’t worth listening to, they’ve already proven to be totally self-absorb and blind to their own faults. She might think she is riding high now, but oh how sweet the fall will be, and well deserved and earned

Unusual on the web! Great opening report, great follow-up comment!

Let me lower the tone of the establishment: There are several votes on the web, and they all show that people think Dannii is the best judge. Could that be why Simon had her moved to the hot seat, the one that usually has to shout down the audience? Simon is not daft, he know that he can get more irrelevant confrontation out of Cheryl or Louis “the traffic warden” than out of Dannii, so he has the argumentative judges near him.

It’s a ruinous decision, the second major error by the producers, (probably really Simon manipulating his puppets), after the inclusion of the Grime in the final 24. Very soon Britain’s Got Talent will be the better show for singing talent, and the X-Factor will be the best place for all the freak-show wannabes like the Grime.

    It’s a mess, this season of X-Factor.

Jamie’s agent, or if he has no agent his brother, should go and ask Simon what it would cost to free Jamie from his contract, then go ask Jon Bon Jovi if he or his US associates could pay that amount as part of a tour and recording contract for Jamie. It could work: JBJ has enough money and enough character to stare Simon down in a head-to-head.

Sadly it won’t happen and all the acts will remain mentored and judged by one sincere person and three massive egos who are using the show as a window on themselves. Simon has his Cheryl Show right by his side to let off the leash when he feels there’s not enough irrelevant rubbish going on. Like the ridiculous “peek-a-boob” dress…

I read Dannii was not happy about going point on the comments, but she’s the best in that place and the most coherent judge overall. Dannii-me-luv, Cheryl is nothing compared with you!

Am I missing something here? Wasn’t it Simon who blasted the two women for the way they dress on the show and how Kandy rain — like the group Cheryl belongs to — dressed like strippers? And, wasn’t it Louis who went went on the record, calling Danyl “vile” and that he was a horrible person? Admittedly, Cheryl did tell Danyl he came off a bit too confident for it being so early in the competition but overall I have found Cheryls comments to be very professional. She actually said to Danyl “another good performance by Danyl Johsnon”? And, he smiled and said “Thanks Cheryl.” In fact, Danyl seemed pleased by all of the judges comments until Simon went on the attack and admonished Cheryl for not standing up and giving Danyl the recognition he deserved. At that moment, Danyl’s whole demeanor changed. On American Idol you couldn’t blast Simon’s ass out of his chair — except for the exceptional Adam Lambert? I think if Simon would just shut-up and keep focused, all of this “he said she said” crap would come to an end or at least diminish. So, it makes you wonder is Simon REALLY looking for talent or is it ratings? I think the answer to that is obvious. Consider this whole chair business. Who the hell cares where the judges are sitting? I never gave it a thought until Simon drew everyone’s attention to it. In additon, I felt sorry for Joe last week. As Cheryl was about to make her comments Simon is AGAIN the one who got everyone off track with his critique of the dancers behind Joe and then further distracted from Joe’s performance by his comments on Cheryl’s dress. None of that was necessary. I haven’t read or seen any article that refers to Cheryl’s attack on Danyl. Of course, that is very possible. But the news I’ve read is mainly about Louie and Dannii. Also, I don’t get this criticism of Cheryl’s talent. If she has the number 1 song — someone in that country must think she can sing. Apparently, those who can’t post on the blog.

I would agree that Dannii is by far the best judge this year, and she is in another league that Cheryl can only dream of being in, well dream on Cheryl as it will never happen.

Miss Minogue not only knows how to give well rounded comments, she also knows how to dress!

Cheryl did not even sing the song or all of it live on the show and to be honest should this show be about promoting the judges I think not, it is not a platform for her it is supposed to be about the contestants not Miss Cole, who seems to be as bitchy as ever, true colours showed last night when she almost swore on live TV, Dermot bless him quickly shut her up. She is a very sore loser, which cannot be said of Dannii, who also seems to care far more about her acts, and the other acts come to that.

I’ve lost all respect for Simon as a credible judge. He has always insisted that they are looking for a talented vocalist and yet when given the opportunity to vote to save the most talented singer he chose to save John and Edward. This undermines all his principles and was a very unfair decision. I don’t feel like watching the show again after tonight. Lucie would have benefited the most from the opportunity to stay in the competition and grow as an artist. She has the potential to become a pop star Britain can be proud of. Yes she does not have Leona’s voice, but she’s one in a billion, and there is a place in the market for Lucie. It was unkind that Simon was so negative about her tonight. Lucie is probably stronger vocally than Cheryl and he’s not blocking her career opportunities by saying she has a ceiling to her voice.

OMG! Will people shut up, so what John & Edward are threw. Simon didn’t want to get rid of them because of the publicity! John & Edward have made x factor ratings better, even Americans are watching it. John & Edward will be here till the end, just except it. If people didn’t make such a big deal out of John & Edward then they would of been gone ages ago. Its simple. Stop complaing and blaming the judges. Cause it obviouse what they care about more. Specially Simon since its his show.
    Joe to win!!!

OMG! Let people speculate as much as they want. I guess everyone is past the Jedward point, so get over it too. And the Americans have always been watching, not just this season or because Louis’s one remaining group (remember oh-look-they-are-huge-stars-in-the-US Paul Potts, Leona, Susan Boyle to name just a few?). Why do you think the show just got freshly americanized this season? I bet they provide sugar-crazed teenagers with a constant supply of extra heavy Coke in order to keep them screaming through the whole show. I bet apart from the screaming everything else is scripted, even the little fights the jurors pick.

Dear Ms Sinitta the advice you are dishing out to Cheryl should be dished out as well to your friend Mr Cowell. He is destroying people on a daily basis, so what’s so outrageous that Cheryl Cole did likewise (and I believe she was being constructive in her critique).Maybe you came out in Mr Johnson’s defence because he is Mr Cowell’s protegee? Mr Cowell is downright arrogant, rude and destructive with most of his criticism. So please pass on the same advice to him. What is good for the goose is likewise good for the gander.
