With the Laura White debate hitting the House Of Commons by Culture Secretary Andy Burnham saying:
the wonderful and talented singer had been treated harshly by the judges
and an online petition with more than 18,000 votes to date, Louis Walsh has defended his decission to vote Laura off the X-Factor last saturday night.
Louis told the Sun (UK Tabloid)
Laura was in the bottom two, her performance was bad and her styling was even worse.
She didn’t get the public support and got three votes from the judges.
No one in the bottom two ever wins the X Factor, that’s just a fact. Laura was never going to win.

this is an awful justification/excuse for voting off laura and doesnt hold up on little bit.
consider this, louis voted off austin because he claimed ‘rachel has more to give in the competition’ but then votes off laura using 1 specific performance as his reasoning. who in their right mind genuinely believes that ruth is a more versatile performer that laura and has a better profile as a recording artist.
louis is a judge, and when people make judgements all we can ask is for them to be consistant with their reasoning and logic. i’ll accept any decision providing it can be justified.
it was only to be expected that louis would try and find some excuse for his decision but i hope he hasnt underestimated the general feeling that his unjust actions deserve an equal reaction. jls in the bottom 2 this week could be a possibility as a backlash to him voting out laura. i hope not cause rachel or daniel definately deserve to go, we’ll see.

those are perfect quotes to illustrate that he’s completely off the pace and he realises that this could backlash on him bigtime. surely if you’re going to go to the press with a comment you’d make sure it didnt directly contradict an opinion you aired infront of 12million people 3 days previously.

I can’t understand why all of this is put on Louis. Fair enough Dannii voted to save her own act, but Simon only saved Ruth because he fancies her.
I don’t see why everyone is kicking up such a fuss, if you were so keen on Laura you should have picked up the phone and vote for her!
Louis is right, regardless of her talent, if people don;t like her enough to vote they wont like her enough to buy her albums!
Why is there no mention of the Austin Drage petition? His supporters report their votes being redirected to other contestants. Why has he had no publicity? I suspect there is some degree of collusion here. The whole affair stinks.
BTW, I think Louis is totally wrong about Laura, even more so about Austin. By his logic, anyone appearing in the bottom two should be thrown out – they have no chance! Idiotic!
The only reason Louis is voting off all these good acts is because they are threats to JLS. Simple as.
And I think (personally) he wants to get back at other judges because they voted off Girl Band and Bad Lashes.

Everyone take a look at this petition – The show is a fix and Louis Walsh should be ashamed of himself voting on a personal level just so that JLS have a better chance – No offence Louis but they are rubbish – they will never win the xfactor and as for Rachel, Daniel and Eoghan still in the comp, that is also a disgrace – is there no one out there that can spot real talent aka Laura White!!
I agree you can see from the results of the past two wks which have both came down to louis that he is getting rid of the stronger talents!:sad: Rachel hasnt been that strong and seems to be letting the agro with Dannii get to her or something and Ruth has been in the bottom 2 twice now where as Austin and Laura have been very strong in the previous weeks!! As for Daniel the more negitivity and people given out is making people vote for him and it makes god tv in Simon and Louis given out about him.:sick: :angry: Honestly it will be a Steve Brookstien winner this year!!!! :devil:
Laura and Ruths last performances on Saturday night, I must say I did prefer Ruth and if had to vote myself purely on their last performances I would have sent Laura home aswell. But yes I do think Louis is voting tactically but hey nevermind has anyone really made it being a winner from the x factor? not really, Leona may be hitting the headlines at the moment but it wont last long. Also has anyone else noticed the tension between Louis and Simon with Cheryl? It almost seems like the two men are wanting to gang up on her maybe because she has the strongest category?
