Hallelujah, a song written by Leonard Cohen for his 1984 album Various Positions and covered by many artists including John Cale, Jeff Buckley and Allison Crowe among many others has been recorded by JLS, Eoghan Quigg, Alexandra Burke and Diana Vickers and is to be released by the winner of the X-Factor.
The single is expected to make this years Christmas No.1
The late Jeff Buckley (November 17, 1966 – May 29, 1997) earned his first US No.1 single in March 2008 after Jason Castro (4th place finalist American Idol 2008) performed the song on American Idol.
Last year, the winners single When You Believe, originally recorded by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston was released as Leon Jacksons debut single sold out pretty fast before taking the Christmas No.1 spot.
We will probably never hear Diana Vickers recorded version, so who would you like to see win the X-Factor and release their version of Hallelujah?

My favorite Hallelujah is by the Canadian singer Allison Crowe. (It’s available on itunes and Amazon, too.) There’s a lot of versions that people love equally.
diana would have won with that song if she had got to the finals
she sings it amazingly
diana should be there singin this. such a shame shes not
one of the acts in the final will be able to make it sound as good as diana
This is Diana’s song! I hate the fact someone else will sing it. I hope that it’ll be leaked at some point!
