The X-Factor auditions for 2009 start this week in Birmingham on Sunday 12th April.
It’s not too late to join the hopefuls, so if you want to audition join the crowds from 8am at the Birmingham City Football club if you are interested.
Other auditions to be held are:
Manchester at the Old Trafford Football Ground on Saturday 18th April and Sunday 19th April – Audtions at 8.00am.
Cardiff at The Millenium Stadium on Saturday 26th April – Auditions at 8.00am.
London at The O2 on Tuesday 5th May and Wednesday 6th May – Auditions at 9.00am.
Glasgow at Hampden Park on Saturday 9th May – Auditions at 8.00am.

Hi Madilyn…you’re certainly not alone…many of us have still not had a letter…of course there’s now nothing anyone can do about it as all the auditions are over…but as Beth suggests, venting your frustration on the Frustrated thread on the forum is quite theraputic…I think Beth should be allowed in so she can swear along with us in Welsh!!! lol

I have to agree…I heard some of the acts auditioning whilst waiting for Beth & Mel to go on…& some were ok…not bad but not great & certainly no better than I/we were…exactly how do they choose their acts I wonder? Clearly if you’re very very very good or absolutely appalling then it’s a no brainer…but as a LOT of people will fall into the “COULD make it, has talent” category, I wonder what factors determine who gets to sing in front of the judges or not? I’ve given serious thought before now to auditioning & being deliberately bad, JUST to get in front of the judges…& I’m sure I’m not alone in that.
& as I’ve said before, I now know 100% for sure that I/we can make it at least to boot camp, provided I/we can actually get in front of the judges…& I’m sure I’m not alone in THAT either lol
i have to be honest here peeps i would put me and mel in that catogorry of not brill but not bad i had no idea that we would get to meet the judges! and to go to bootcamp well thas a bounus!
maybe were different of maybe be they can see that the audience would identify with us i dont know but i dint go in to this thinking we were the best group and were gonna walk it !
i just thought that it was a bit of a lottery and there was a chance
i suppose every year there looking for different things with ppl and i think the whole susan boyal phenomenon has changed there views on things so u never know
but never NEVER ! doubt ur tallent becos of xfactor its a tv show at the end of the day and most ppl watch it for the entertainment side so its a fickel world and ur better than that !

Some people have been sent home from Bootcamp yesterday and more cuts will be made today according to some websites.
Yeah, some were sent home yesterday & another round is being held today with more being sent home, they need to get the numbers down for Saturdays live auditions.

Well, realistically they are only going to have so many places for the weekend, & then for the judges’ houses…& the forum contingent aren’t all going to make it sadly…all we can do is hope that at least one of our own gets there…& we have several possibilities…so sorry to hear that Beth’s (& Elaine’s & Kitty’s daughters’) journey has ended already though. Last I heard from Laura, Killer Heels were waiting in a holding room…no news of Cardiff’s efforts either as yet, but my fingers are crossed for them…to all the bootcampers though I say well done, you got further than most & there’s always next year

She’s is still in London waiting for her friend to aution. Spoke to her this morning she’s ok,,,but disapointed. Hope you daughter got back ok I bet she’s had lots of TLC from you.
Like I said they did well to get to boot camp and many that come on here would have loved to have gone.
Scott says its been horrendous, up at 6am to stand around for hours, then the judges slated a lot of them. Apparantly they were really harsh with Beth, I hope shes ok.

Im Patsy from Belle Sorelle we got knocked out earlier this week. Boot camp was really hard but we had an amazing time.
We met loads of talented people and have no regrets especially as we only got together in January.
The great news is a music producer saw us performing at BRMB’ s The Beach in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago and has got in touch to say he has written a song for us so we are in the studio next month.
Also we have some A & R people interested and we are with JLS next weekend at Tamworth!
So anyone who has been knocked back dont give up!

I was gutted when your group was no longer in the boot camp, it was nice meeting you all at Birmingham Finals and also at the Wolverhampton got talent aswel as at the Xfactor Bootcamp we always have a good laugh together. Well i was 1 of the unlucky ones who didnt get thru the 1st round and i was soooo disappointed with myself, it didnt help that this girl who i met down there was before me and sung Somewhere over the rainbow and she was amazing hit all the high notes aswell, so me thinking wow she will defo get through she came out so upset cos she was told NO..!!!!! I cant believe how she didnt make it so that put me on a downer for her so i messed up while i sang. It didnt help either that we waited 10 hours before bein seen even though we were there before 8am..!!! I will defo try again but this time i will get there the night before and sing my worst ever because it seems people who are dreadful make it through to the judges its so unfair, i know they want entertainment so why cant they make a show looking for the WORST singers instead then at least people who can sing have a better chance being on X-Factor.
